UniTrust has been operating as an audited mortgage banker since 1998, with investment expertise for all types of real estate and loans.The firm has funded over $500 million of real estate loans in that time, and in 2006 was approved by the US Department of HUD as an FHA (non-supervised) mortgage lender. UniTrust has also been in the business of Private Trust Deeds Investments for 10 years.
Between them UniTrust's two principals, Ilan Awerbuch and Phil Aronoff, have over 50 years of mortgage and real estate related experience, including the management of structured real estate investments and mortgage organizations. Their professional backgrounds include advanced law and engineering degrees, and extensive financial management expertise. Each of them has been involved in Private Trust Deed Investments since early 1990's.
